Who can take part

  • You have been in a vegetative or minimally conscious state for more than 28 days after a severe brain injury.
  • You are between 18 and 80 years old.
  • Your vital signs (like heartbeat and breathing) are stable.
  • Your family agrees to take part and signs a consent form.
  • You have few facial movements or spontaneous actions and are not taking seizure or sedative medications.
