Who can take part

  • You had a stroke that happened recently.
  • Your symptoms were still present when you arrived at the hospital.
  • An MRI scan (including a special type called DWI) showed a blockage in the arteries at the back of your brain.
  • You do not have any metal implants or other reasons that would make an MRI unsafe for you.
