Who can take part
- You have persistent AF that has come back after a prior catheter ablation.
- Your persistent AF has lasted less than 3 years total, and you have had at least one episode lasting more than 7 days in the last 6 months.
- You have had 1 or 2 prior AF ablations that only isolated your pulmonary veins (the standard approach).
- You have tried at least one heart rhythm medication (antiarrhythmic drug).
- You are between 18 and 80 years old and on blood thinners (warfarin or a DOAC) for at least 4 weeks before the procedure.
- You have not had more than 2 left atrial procedures, any prior ablation beyond vein isolation, or current atrial flutter or tachycardia.
