Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You have heart failure with a reduced ejection fraction (LVEF 35% or less) and a wide QRS (130 ms or more) due to left bundle branch block.
  • Or you have a wide QRS of 150 ms or more with a reduced ejection fraction (35% or less) from a different cause.
  • Or you need a pacemaker for a heart block and have a reduced ejection fraction (less than 40%).
  • Or you have atrial fibrillation, a wide QRS of 130 ms or more, and a reduced ejection fraction (35% or less) with class III or IV symptoms, and a plan to ensure both sides of the heart are paced.
  • You have not had a heart attack, unstable angina, or heart surgery in the last 3 months.
  • You are not pregnant and not currently in another trial with an active treatment.
