Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You have been diagnosed with primary aldosteronism (overactive adrenal glands causing high blood pressure).
  • Before treatment, a blood test showed your renin level was low or suppressed.
  • Your doctor plans to start you on a long-term medication that blocks the hormone aldosterone.
  • You have not taken a similar medication or a potassium-sparing water pill in the last 3 months.
