Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older and have high blood pressure or take blood pressure medications
  • Your blood renin level is very low (≤1 ng/mL/hr)
  • Your blood aldosterone level is elevated (≥10 ng/dL or ≥7.5 ng/dL depending on test method)
  • Your aldosterone-to-renin ratio meets study criteria (>20 or >15 depending on test method)
  • You do not have advanced kidney disease (eGFR ≥30)
  • You are able to stop certain blood pressure medications for testing and undergo a saline infusion test
