Who can take part

  • Diagnosed with peripheral artery disease and have leg pain when walking (claudication) that has been stable for at least 3 months
  • Your walking is limited mainly by this leg pain, not by other conditions like arthritis or breathing problems
  • You can read and speak English well enough to complete study tasks
  • You are able to give your written consent to take part
  • You do not have any of the following: planned leg surgery or procedure in the next 3 months, critical limb ischemia, a pacemaker or other implanted electrical device, epilepsy, or a skin condition where the electrical pads would be placed
  • You have not had a major surgery, heart attack, or stroke in the last 6 months
