Who can take part
- Your child has spastic cerebral palsy (tight muscles in one or more limbs).
- Your child is between 2 and 8 years old.
- Your child uses a wheelchair or has very limited walking ability (GMFCS level IV or V).
- Your child has at least one hip that can only bend inward to 40 degrees or less when lying on their back.
- X-rays show the hip ball has moved 30% to 50% out of the socket and the thigh bone angle is more than 145 degrees.
- Your child has not had previous hip surgery on that side and is healthy enough for surgery.
