Who can take part

  • You are between 22 and 70 years old.
  • You have had low back pain for at least 6 months, and your back pain is twice as bad as any leg pain.
  • You have tried at least one pain medication (like ibuprofen or Tylenol) and physical therapy without enough relief.
  • An MRI has confirmed you have degenerative disc disease in your lower spine.
  • You are not pregnant and agree to use birth control during the study.
  • Your body mass index (BMI) is between 15 and 30.
