  • You are between 18 and 40 years old.
  • You are a healthy adult and do not smoke.
  • You are not currently taking vitamins, minerals, prebiotics, or probiotics.
  • For women: you are not pregnant or breastfeeding, and you still have menstrual periods.
  • Your body mass index (BMI) is between 18 and 27.
  • You do not have any medical conditions or take medications that affect iron absorption.
