Who can take part

  • Your child is 16 years old or younger.
  • Your child is having general anesthesia (medication to make them sleep for surgery).
  • Your child's breathing will be supported with a breathing tube or a mask (LMA).
  • Your child will be connected to a breathing machine for at least 15 minutes.
  • Your child is not having surgery that uses a heart-lung machine (extracorporeal circulation).
