Stroke recovery: Testing blood flow boost therapy

Who can take part

  • You are over 40 years old.
  • You had a stroke or mini-stroke (TIA) at least 1 month ago, caused by a blocked or narrowed large artery in the front part of your brain.
  • Your blocked artery shows moderate to severe narrowing (50% or more) or is completely closed.
  • You have some backup blood vessels in your brain, as seen on an angiogram (a special X-ray).
  • This is your first stroke or a later stroke with little to no lasting disability, meaning you can manage daily activities on your own.
