Who can take part

  • You had an ischemic stroke (clot) within the last 48 hours.
  • Your stroke is moderate (not too mild or severe).
  • You are 18 or older.
  • You have no history of depression or bipolar disorder.
  • You do not have metal implants or claustrophobia preventing an MRI.
  • You have no serious arm injury or blood vessel problem in your upper arm.
