Who can take part

  • You must have anti-LGI1 encephalitis, a specific type of brain inflammation.
  • You must be newly diagnosed and currently in the active (acute) phase of the illness.
  • You must be willing to sign a consent form to participate.
  • You cannot have had epilepsy, stroke, a brain injury, or other nervous system disease before this diagnosis.
  • You cannot have other related antibodies, such as anti-CASPR2.
