Who can take part

  • You must be 18 years or older.
  • You must be able to agree to take part in the study.
  • You must have a diagnosis of autoimmune encephalitis, including types with certain antibodies or Susac syndrome, but no other autoimmune disease.
  • If you are in the control group, you must not have these types of encephalitis or antibodies.
  • If you are in the control group, you must have another brain disorder and have tested negative for certain brain-related antibodies.
