Who can take part

  • You must have one of the following: a confirmed RyR2 gene variant that causes CRDS, or a diagnosis of CPVT, or have survived an unexplained cardiac arrest with genetic testing, or be undergoing an electrophysiology study for SVT.
  • If you have CPVT, you must meet the clinical criteria for CPVT and have a specific type of RyR2 or CASQ2 gene variant.
  • If you survived an unexplained cardiac arrest, your arrest must remain unexplained after standard tests, and you must have had genetic testing including RyR2.
  • You cannot be on certain medications: a QT-prolonging medication (except flecainide) during the test for some groups, or class I or III anti-arrhythmic drugs for controls.
  • You must be able to provide informed consent.
  • If you are a control (SVT), you must not have certain other heart conditions like ventricular cardiomyopathy or long QT syndrome.
