Who can take part
- You must have one of these brain tumors: Group A - newly diagnosed embryonal tumors (like medulloblastoma) for children under 5; or Group B - recurrent ependymoma with planned surgery for ages 1 to 29.
- Tumor tissue must be available (about 50 mg, size of a pea) for making the treatment cells.
- Your child must be active enough to have a wellness score of 60% or higher (able to do most daily activities).
- Blood counts and organ function must be adequate, like enough white blood cells, platelets, and healthy kidney/liver function.
- A small device (Rickham reservoir) must be placed in the brain to deliver the treatment cells through a catheter.
