Who can take part
- You must be between 3 and 21 years old (the first few patients must be older than 7).
- You must have a brain or spinal cord tumor (like medulloblastoma, high-grade glioma, or ependymoma) that has come back or is growing despite standard treatments.
- You must have already received radiation therapy as part of your initial treatment.
- You must have recovered from side effects of any previous cancer treatments, and at least 2 weeks since your last chemotherapy (or 7 days for biologic agents).
- You must be able to receive more radiation safely, and your doctor thinks it’s a good option.
- You must have a performance score of at least 50 (able to care for yourself or be up in a wheelchair).
