  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You have a leg injury that needs a cast or brace for at least 2 weeks.
  • You are seen in the emergency department and don't need to be admitted to the hospital for any other reason.
  • You do not have active bleeding or a high risk of bleeding.
  • You were not taking blood thinners (except low-dose aspirin) before your injury.
