  • You are in the intensive care unit (ICU).
  • You are over 18 and on a breathing machine due to sudden breathing failure.
  • Your doctor has decided you need colistin inhaled into your lungs.
  • You sign a consent form agreeing to be in the study.
  • You do not have kidney failure that requires dialysis.
