  • You are an adult who had a first stroke that only affects one side of your body.
  • You can walk safely on your own.
  • Your stroke happened between 3 months and 1 year ago.
  • You are able to understand and follow simple instructions.
  • You do not have other nerve problems, unstable heart conditions, or a pacemaker.
