Who can take part
- You had one stroke (either from a clot or a bleed) in the upper part of the brain.
- Your stroke happened at least 6 months ago, but within the last 12 months.
- You can walk with help from one person and maybe a cane or walker.
- Electrical stimulation can make your leg muscles contract (your thigh muscle should be at least a grade 3 strength).
- You are willing to wait on Botox or similar treatments for muscle tightness until the study rehab is over.
