Who can take part

  • You have been diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and have chronic widespread pain.
  • Your RA is stable (few swollen joints and normal inflammation blood test results).
  • Your pain level is at least 4 out of 10 on a 0–10 scale.
  • You are right-handed and have normal or corrected vision and hearing.
  • You are not currently being treated by a pain team for medication changes or other non-drug pain treatments.
  • You do not have major neurological conditions like multiple sclerosis, stroke, or Parkinson's disease.
