Who can take part
- You are between 18 and 80 years old.
- You have atrial fibrillation that does not get better with medicine.
- Your atrial fibrillation is persistent (lasting more than 7 days) or long-persisting (lasting more than a year).
- You have not had open-heart surgery before.
- You do not have other serious heart problems that need surgery, like a damaged heart valve or a birth defect.
