Who can take part

  • You must be 18 years or older.
  • You must have been newly diagnosed with severe aplastic anemia and have platelet transfusion refractoriness (meaning your body does not respond well to platelet transfusions).
  • You cannot be allergic to rituximab.
  • You cannot have a serious active infection, low antibody levels (hypogammaglobulinemia), or severe heart failure.
  • You cannot be pregnant or breastfeeding.
