Peripheral Blood vs Bone Marrow Grafts for Aplastic Anemia

  • Diagnosed with severe aplastic anemia or very severe aplastic anemia (low blood cell counts and low bone marrow activity)
  • Age 18 to 40 years old
  • Have a haploidentical (half-matched) relative who can donate bone marrow or blood cells
  • Good heart, liver, and kidney function
  • No active infections or history of previous stem cell or organ transplant
  • Able to use effective birth control during the study and willing to sign consent forms
