Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You have advanced non-small cell lung cancer (stage IV or some stage III) that cannot be removed by surgery or treated with radiation.
  • Your cancer has a change called ALK-fusion (confirmed by a tumor or blood test).
  • You have not had any previous cancer treatment for NSCLC (some exceptions for a single chemotherapy or prior adjuvant therapy).
  • You have at least one tumor that can be measured on scans and is not in your brain.
  • You are generally well enough to be up and about (ECOG 0-2) and expected to live at least 3 more months.
