Who can take part

  • You have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes.
  • Your body mass index (BMI) is between 20 and 35.
  • Your HbA1c (a measure of average blood sugar) is between 7.0% and 12.0%.
  • You are between 25 and 70 years old.
  • You do not have serious health conditions like recent heart attack, stroke, pancreatitis, kidney or liver disease, or severe stomach problems.
  • You have not taken GLP-1 medicines, weight loss drugs, steroids, or drugs that affect digestion in the last 3 months.
