This study compares two ways of teaching about pain (pain science education) to help people with jaw pain. You will learn about the science behind your pain, either in full sessions or shorter sessions, to see which helps more.

Who can take part

  • You are between 20 and 60 years old.
  • You have had pain in your jaw, face, or ear for at least 3 months, and the pain is at least a 3 out of 10 in intensity.
  • You have been diagnosed with a painful temporomandibular disorder (TMD) by a specialist.
  • You speak and understand Brazilian Portuguese fluently.
  • You do not have other chronic pain conditions (like fibromyalgia, arthritis, or rheumatologic diseases), and you have not had physiotherapy for your jaw pain in the last 6 months.
