Who can take part
- You are 18 or older
- You have a rotator cuff tear affecting the supraspinatus tendon (the main tendon on top of the shoulder), possibly also the infraspinatus or subscapularis
- Your rotator cuff muscles have low fatty infiltration (GI grade of 2 or less) on imaging
- You do not smoke
- Your shoulder problem is not from a work accident
- You have not had previous rotator cuff repair surgery on that shoulder
