Growing lung stem cells from COPD patients

Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease

Part of Lungs & breathing clinical trials.

This trial aims to grow lung stem cells and create mini-lungs (organoids) from the tissue of people with COPD. It may help researchers understand the disease better and develop new treatments.

Studying natural immunity in COPD and in healthy adults

This study looks at how the body’s “innate” (first-line) immune system works in people with COPD compared with healthy volunteers. It may help researchers understand COPD inflammation and how immune responses could be targeted in the future.

Study of early COPD lung function in adults

This study looks at lung function in people with early COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) to understand what happens over time. If you meet the lung test and health requirements, you may be able to help researchers learn how to better track and manage early COPD.
