Who can take part
- You are between 18 and 70 years old.
- You have a confirmed diagnosis of rectal adenocarcinoma (a type of rectal cancer) that is MSS or pMMR.
- Your tumor is located within 10 cm of the anal opening and is at a stage T3-4 and/or N+ (locally advanced, but not spread to other organs).
- You have at least one high-risk feature, such as the tumor being very close to the anus (≤5 cm), or CT4, or N2, or positive lymph nodes.
- You have not had any prior cancer treatment like radiation, chemotherapy, or immunotherapy.
- Your blood counts and kidney/liver function are within normal limits, and you are willing to follow the study plan.
