Who can take part

  • You have locally advanced rectal adenocarcinoma (a type of rectal cancer that has spread nearby but not far).
  • You are between 18 and 75 years old.
  • Your overall health is good enough to be up and about (ECOG score 0 or 1).
  • Your blood counts and organ function (kidney, liver, blood clotting) are within safe ranges.
  • You have not had immunotherapy before for this cancer.
  • You are not pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning pregnancy during and for 6 months after treatment.
