Who can take part

  • Your brain injury must be moderate or severe (low consciousness score and loss of consciousness for at least 30 minutes).
  • You must be able to start the study within 48 hours of getting hurt.
  • You must be at least 18 years old.
  • You cannot have certain other brain conditions like dementia, Parkinson's, or a brain tumor.
  • If you are able to become pregnant or father a child, you must agree to use birth control during the study and for 7 days after.
