Who can take part
- You have a clot in the main branch of the middle cerebral artery (the large artery on the side of your brain).
- You are scheduled to have a procedure to remove the clot (mechanical thrombectomy).
- You are awake and alert (not unconscious or confused).
- You do not have glaucoma, history of high pressure inside the skull, or severe breathing or heart problems.
- Your body mass index (BMI) is 35 or less.
