Who can take part

  • You have a type of head and neck cancer (squamous cell carcinoma) that can be removed with surgery.
  • Your doctor has tested your tumor for HPV (a virus) using a p16 test.
  • You are between 18 and 70 years old.
  • You do not have a serious autoimmune disease or take high doses of daily steroids (more than 20mg of prednisone).
  • You are in reasonably good health (able to walk and care for yourself) and your organs work well enough to handle the treatment.
