Who can take part

  • You cannot have or did not get better from surgery to open the covering of the spinal cord (duraplasty) or place a shunt within the past year.
  • Your life expectancy is more than 12 months.
  • You are able to swallow tablets.
  • You or a constant caregiver can understand and sign a consent form.
  • You do not have heart disease, severe infection, active tuberculosis, HIV, or other serious medical conditions listed in the exclusion criteria.
