  • You have had surgery to rebuild your anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in your knee.
  • You consider yourself an athlete or a recreational athlete (someone who plays sports or exercises regularly).
  • You have not had ACL reconstruction surgery if you are not an athlete or recreational athlete.

ACL surgery repair vs. reconstruction recovery study

This study compares how well people recover after two different types of ACL surgery: reconstruction (using a graft) and primary repair (stitching the torn ligament).
