Who can take part
- You have painful or nerve-related symptoms in 1 or 2 levels of your lower back (between L1 and S1)
- Your body mass index (BMI) is under 32
- You have not had any spine implants placed before
- You do not have severe bone weakness (osteoporosis), cancer in the spine, or an active infection
- You are not a heavy smoker (more than 6 cigarettes daily), drug user, or heavy drinker
