  • You are 66 years old or older.
  • You are having a cemented (glued) total hip replacement surgery.
  • You do not have peripheral artery disease that affects both arms.
  • You have no medical reason that prevents you from receiving remote ischemic preconditioning (a safe, temporary blood flow restriction treatment).
