Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 70 years old.
  • You have had at least one calcium oxalate kidney stone (the most common kind) or are a first-time stone former.
  • You are willing to eat only the foods provided during the study and stop taking vitamins, minerals, or supplements for 2 weeks before and during the study.
  • You do not have advanced kidney disease, certain gut or metabolic conditions, or other major illnesses that affect how your body handles minerals.
  • You are not pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant during the study.
