Who can take part
- You have severe kidney disease (eGFR less than 25) or are on dialysis.
- You are having a non-cardiac surgery and will need to stay in the hospital at least one night.
- You are 18 years or older.
- You do not have a history of seizures, recent blood clots, or certain bleeding disorders.
- You are not pregnant, breastfeeding, or allergic to the study medications.
