  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You have type 1 or type 2 diabetes.
  • Your vision in the study eye is 20/400 or better (able to read the largest letter on an eye chart).
  • You have a specific type of macular swelling (center-involved diabetic macular edema).
  • Your eye has no active bleeding or severe eye conditions that could interfere with the laser or measurements.
