Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You have a confirmed diagnosis of AML or MDS that has returned or not responded to treatment, and you are not able to receive or have not benefited from other available treatments.
  • Your white blood cell count is 25,000 or less per microliter.
  • You are able to take care of yourself (ECOG score 0-2) and weigh at least 40 kg (about 88 pounds).
  • You have not had a stem cell transplant in the last 3-6 months, and have not had cancer treatment in the last 2 weeks or radiation in the last 4 weeks.
  • Your heart, liver, and kidney function are within safe limits as tested by the study doctors.
