Who can take part

  • You are 18 years old or older and had a clot-caused stroke (ischemic stroke).
  • You had a procedure to remove the clot (thrombectomy).
  • If you are in the target group: the doctor saw a hole in the artery (perforation) with contrast dye leaking out during the procedure.
  • If you are in the comparison group: no perforation happened during the procedure.
  • You do not have a documented rejection to participate in studies.
  • Your imaging before the procedure did not show both a stroke and bleeding in the brain.
