Who can take part
- Age 18 or older

- Clot in the main neck artery (carotid) or main middle brain artery
- Able to start treatment within 24 hours of symptom onset
- No active bleeding in the brain or significant brain tumor
- Relatively independent before the stroke (minimal disability)
