  • You had a stroke caused by a blood clot (ischemic stroke) within the last 14 days
  • You are not taking a blood thinner for a condition like atrial fibrillation or a blood clot
  • You have never had a bleeding stroke or bleeding inside your skull
  • You do not have severe kidney disease (on dialysis or similar)
  • You are not pregnant or breastfeeding
