Who can take part
- You must be 18 or older
- Your heart's pumping strength (ejection fraction) must be 40% or less, measured in the last 3 months
- You must have low blood pressure (systolic 100 or less) on two checks at least 8 hours apart
- You must be in the hospital (either a regular ward or cardiac ICU) and off IV blood-pressure medications for at least 48 hours
- You cannot have severe kidney disease (eGFR 20 or below), active infection on antibiotics, or certain other conditions
