Who can take part

  • You must be a woman or man with early-stage, hormone-receptor-positive breast cancer that is HER2-negative.
  • You must have been getting hormone therapy (like tamoxifen or an aromatase inhibitor) for at least 3 months and plan to continue.
  • You must have moderate to severe muscle, bone, or joint pain (pain that makes daily tasks harder) that has lasted at least 4 weeks.
  • You cannot have severe depression or anxiety, or be taking antidepressants or water pills that might interfere with the study drugs.
  • You need to have good kidney and liver function, and not have other serious health issues that could get worse with the study treatments.
