Who can take part

  • You had a stroke that was caused by a blocked blood vessel or a bleed in the brain (shown on a scan).
  • It has been at least 6 months since your stroke.
  • You have moderate to severe weakness on one side of your body, especially in your arm and hand.
  • You can move your elbow, forearm, wrist, and hand fully when someone else moves them for you.
  • You are able to follow instructions and do simple tasks.
  • You do not have other brain conditions like Parkinson's, epilepsy, or dementia, and you have not had more than one stroke.
